This is not Your Grandparents’ Selichot Service

People would often ask: “Exactly what do you do at a Midnite Service on Saturday night before Rosh HaShanah”? They would ask because it was a curiosity but they never actually came. So this year we want not only to give you the opportunity to see what Selichot is by beginning earlier in the evening – we will also include the central themes of Selichot: MUSIC AND STUDY (and of course some food).

Saturday Night: September 4th – SELICHOT – Introducing the High Holy Days season:

8:00 PM – Light Dinner and Havdalah – Lobby - Scheck Family Sanctuary

8:40 PM – High Holy Days conversations with: Rabbi Eddie Feinstein, Rabbi Brad Artzon, Rabbi Harold Schulweiss of California made possible through the technology of DVD. HOW DO WE JOURNEY FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH? - Responses from Rabbi Ed Farber and Rabbi Mario Rojzman – Rosemary Nacron Chapel

9:15 PM – Selichot Service/Concert including:

A Selection of Selichot prayers and a musical selection of melodies that will introduce us to the High Holy Days spirit led by Cantor Luis Cattan.
