Marcia & Charles Orvieto

Marcia and Charles Orvieto have been a part of the Beth Torah Community for almost 25 years. It is Beth Torah's warm, comfortable, welcoming environment that first drew them to become members and it is those same qualities that have kept them involved and committed to this synagogue throughout the years.
Marcia has served on the Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee, where she chaired many events and fundraisers and has held several positions including Youth and Ways and Means Vice-President. During her tenure, Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus experienced tremendous growth and transformation. Marcia, together with her Board of Directors, have seen the schools of Beth Torah increase its enrollment in an unprecedented manner, supported community outreach programs, encouraged community action, Tikkun Olam, worked together with generous donors to fund new initiatives such as BT2U, Mechina and the remodeling of the Rosemary Nacron Chapel. And it is during this period that Beth Torah celebrated its 60th Anniversary, a truly auspicious commemoration of a synagogue that appreciates the rich legacy of its past, is actively involved in the present and has a vision for the future. She is grateful for the opportunity to have worked with this incredible group of individuals who selflessly devote their time and resources to assuring that future generations will also have the opportunity to call Beth Torah their spiritual home.
Marcia and Charles have long been committed to Jewish and community causes. They are proud to be long-time members of the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center, serving on many different committees. They participate in the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, Florida Friends of IDF, American Friends Magen David Adam, the Alzheimer's Association and support the Alexander Muss High School in Israel, of which Marcia and her children, are proud to be recognized as alum.
off all their accomplishments and commitments, they are most proud of their children, Craig and Diana (the newlyweds), Eric and Andrea. Their children have grown up at Beth Torah: attended religious school, became confirmed, participated in USY and Judaica High School. It is here that they celebrated their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and most recently, Craig's Auf-Ruf.
Marcia and Charles are grateful for the love and support of their family, friends and the Beth Torah community. They value the relationship with their Rabbis, Rabbi Lipschitz, Rabbi Farber and Rabbi Rojzman and the work that is carried out by the professional staff. It is because of their love for the people of Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus that they feel honored to have the opportunity to serve this synagogue and its congregants.
